08 Days Heritage tour

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Assistance on arrival by a representative of "Heritage Expediciones". Transfer to Anuradhapura and check-in at the hotel. At leisure for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight stay at Anuradhapura.
Day 2
Visit the ruins of the ancient city of Anuradhapura and then proceed to Sigiriya. Visit the museum before climbing the Rock Fortress. Then leave for Giritale. Arrive in Giritale and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Giritale.
Day 3
Excursion to Polonnaruwa to explore the ruins of the mediaeval capital. Visit magnificent Medirigiriya. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
After breakfast, leave for Kandy visiting the Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, Spice Garden and a Batik Factory. Arrive in Kandy and check-in at the hotel. City tour of Kandy. Visit an auditorium to view the cultural performance of Kandyan dancing and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 5
Enjoy the day visiting the Pinnawela Elephant Orphange. If you could reach the Orphanage by 09:15 hrs you will be in time to see the baby elephants being bottle-fed and at 10:00hrs the entire herd is taken to the river for a bath. On your return to Kandy visit the Lankatilleke, Gadaladeniya and Embekke Temples. Dinner and Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 6
In the morning visit the Peradeniya Botanical Garden and on completion leave for Nuwara Eliya. Enroute visit a tea estate and factory. Arrive in Nuwara Eliya and check-in at the hotel. City tour of Nuwara Eliya. At leisure for the rest of the day. Dinner and overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 7
Proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala visiting the site where the famous film ‘ Bridge On The River Kwai ‘ was filmed. White water rafting is popular in Kitulgala. Arrive in Colombo and check-in at the hote. Visit the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Dinner and overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 8
After early breakfast leave for the Bandaranaike International Airport for departure. You would travel on the E03 Expressway. Please note that it is an airline requirement to check-in three hours prior to your departure
